Hello. My boyfriend has a criminal record, and it was fairly recent. Please don't judge him based on this. He had a taser in his car that was also used as a torch. He only had it in there for protection, but ya'know.. His "buddy" apparently turned him in. I don't remember all the details. He pled guilty, is on probation, and got sentenced to 100hrs community service. He's doing 15 hours a week at a local shop. So, it will take about two months or so.
I live in America, and he wanted to come visit me this summer. So, in June, July, or August. He was saying he was going to go to the American Embassy and ask about it. Eventually he may move here. I've heard a lot of different things. Some say not to mention it, others say if you don't mention it for a trip, but eventually try to move they'll use it against you.. I am really worried. Do you guys think he'll be able to come? Or is it too close..? It's really quite frustrating, this whole thing. If he goes to the Embassy, should he mention it, or just try for a Visa? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
