I remember my great aunt saying her husband got piles from years of sitting on one of those uncomfortable tractor seats while working on a farm. No idea if it was true, but probably not good for you to sit on a cold metal seat day after day. Those fucking things are the most dangerous thing on a farm (or they were before the cabs.) Those slippery metal seats that could send you down under the wheels, propensity to roll on the slightest of hills...most frightening machine I've operated.
This was inspired by watching tractor pulling championships which have been shown quite a lot on freeview recently. I have seen tractor pulling in the flesh a few times and not taken a lot of notice. Watching on the box, I'm amazed by all the different classes there are. From heavily modified tractor pulling ( less than 10,000 bhp )

Is it the surfeit of wheels, or something else? I don't like the black smoke that it's chucking out - that looks nasty too. That is not a good tractor.
China used to have a lot of these walking tractors with just two wheels, still get new models made and think they're popular elsewhere, devloping countries mostly but also small farms in richer places:Is it the surfeit of wheels, or something else? I have watched 2 half hour episodes - 2 teams of 3 compete against each other in very silly challenges. It is an hour I wont get back.I have not seen this yet and the review I've read was indifferent. On BBC3 later
