There is a huge issue with this around Docklands. I lived for a while on the Isle of Dogs and was told I was not allowed somewhere that I think I was. The only way to find out what the right of way situation was to ask Tower Hamlets as there were no maps available.
After months of chasing I was still none the wiser and I moved out of the area and left it.
I'm a London born bloke who is fairly confident in challenging these matters and was ultimately bullied out of the one bit of green space in the area. What chance do children stand?
It's disgusting that we are pretty much at the whim of developers to be honest in their policing of this when they have such a vested interest in misleading and absolutely nothing to lose by lying.
