Glitter

Goddess of rock!
I'm going out on Friday and I need some clothes advice.

Most of my clothes are jeans/leggings and long tops. Nice enough but not especially dressy.

I'm not going anywhere special; in town there is one of those complexes that has a cinema, Frankie and Benny's, Pizza Express etc and me and my pal are going to Nandos and probably the nearby Wetherspoons afterwards. My normal clothes are probably more than suitable but it's a Friday night and I don't go out out all that much.

I could wear jeans and a nice top. That means I could wear my new boots and I'd be warm (it's fucking freezing atm) but not especially dressy OR I could wear a lovely frock. It's only thin material and my feet will probably freeze in heels but it's pretty and I would really like to dress up.

Whaddya say Urbs?

That's a very lovely frock and seeing as say you'd like to dress up and seeing as you say don't go out a lot, you should certainly wear it.
You're going to be inside most of the time on Friday, so go for it! Don't let the thought of cold feet give you...er....cold feet.

They're ankle bootsand I think with the length of the dress they'll just make melook short and wide :)

The dress looks nice and your hair looks nice and have you always had a fringe and i've just not noticed?

The fringe is new.
Everybody notices something different but doesn't know what so you're one step ahead. :D

What about the boots? It doesn't feel like my style. More that of our friend iyswim.

if you don't feel right then maybe you shouldn't but i think its a good look. :)

I'd go with shoes. But I feel dead uncomfy if I'm wearing clothes with shoes that for whatever reason 'aren't right'. I'm always trying to buy a generic shoe (converse, DMs or whatever) that will go with everything and it never quite works.

I know loads of people who can wear DMs / converse with everything and look ace.

I haven't been there myself yet - I probably need a lot more confidence, I feel.

I used to wear DMs with everything but I'm not sure I csn carry the boots off these days.

I want to just to be warm :)

Give it time AS. You'll get the confidence to try loads of stuff soon xx
Yeah, I've already come on a long way, but putting on a load of weight in the last year hasn't exactly helped with my confidence, so I've gone back to playing really safe with stuff I know definitely works for me.

If you have red or white shoes, you might be able to get away with thick black tights. Again, contrasting coloured shoes / tights is something I think looks ace on other people but makes me look like I'm wearing it for a bet.

Frock over leggings and the boots. Cardigan on top, plus ideally, a biker jacket.
Yes this most definitely, dress would definitely take a vest as well for added warmage or even a long or short sleeved top same colour as the leggings. AND as it'll all be layering, you can be warm outdoors and hawt indoors.
