I've only been to Rarotonga.

It's great for diving and snorkelling. Very little else to do other than lie around in the sun and look at fish.

You can walk over the middle of the island with a guide but it was pissing down most of the time I was there and so it was "not recommended".

The clockwise/anti-clockwise bus is fun.

I went to an island dance show which was of course mega-touristy but the music and dancing are amazing.

Ermm.....struggling with anything else really.

You can't buy booze any time you like. I forget the timings but they have restrictions.

Aitutaki
Boat trip to honeymoon island to plant a palm tree
Snorkelling trip out to the edge of reef
Hire bikes and cycle round island
Kayak round island

raratonga
Night snorkelling
Round island bus

it’s been 11 years since I was there though so might be much more to do now, it was really really expensive to buy food/booze, take as much as you can. Friends from nz go regularly and they take as much food (including frozen meat in an esky) and stink as they can get on the plane
