Things to do in Fort William

I am off to Fort William for job interviews on Friday and Monday. This will mean that I am to stay there over the weekend. Apart from climbing Ben Nevis, what else could I get up to? I'll be going on the train, so I won't have a car handy.

Oh, and what are the pubs like?

Ta muchly.

Sorry mate, but I'd seriously advise you curl-up and die.

Without transport, FW is the very last place I'd want to be stuck in Scotland.

One ray of light tho - The Nevis Bakery does superb steak pies. Not on Sunday's tho.

The Corpach slurry train gets in about 6am and ther is an excellent castle by the railway bridge. I forget its name, sorry.

Go for a day trip on the Jacobite:

Ignore all the snotty little Harry Potter-ite brats on board, grab a couple of bottles of the specially bottled ale that's available onboard and let the scenery roll by.
