No.Do you work with them?
With your cop pals?
I think you are correct.I imagine your experience is different from that of people of colour
Sure, I get that. But judging a large nation's sum totality of police forces solely on the basis of personal anecdote is hardly the most rigorous line of argument, is it? Especially in the face of the mountain of evidence that there is something very, very wrong with US policingI said the police I'm familiar with, the police in my city.
The problem I have with dismanteling the system is what/who takes it's place. What concerns me is an Animal Farm situation.

Actually, good point. The Animal farm point TomUS makes is invalidated by one overrriding point; the situation now is just about as bad as it could possibly get: violent, racist cops, armed to the teeth, fully militarised, asked to go into areas of reponsibility (effeectively social care) that you should never get police involved in, and with truly dreadful, never-ever-fit-for-purpose systems of )total lack of) oversight, scrutiny and accountability.Surely the pigs are already in charge?
Take a look at this:The police I'm familiar with do not regularly do those things.
I think they're allowed to beat up protestors because protestors aren't innocent.Take a look at this:
