Bloody love this place but I've just found out the Musician is closing

So for any urbs that ever went there and enjoyed this great little venue, it's a sad day.

I remember when it was the Victoria pub. I'm sad that it is closing.

It's a real shame. It had an eclectic mix of rock, blues, funk, country, jazz, folk and Sunday jam sessions, with a nice pub style bar at the front. I saw many a decent gig there but mostly the crowd was small. The owner told me they made their money off the various tribute acts which would fill the place - in itself, a sad indictment of live music today.
