Apparently he has a new album out called (and I'm not making this up I swear) 'Hard to Swallow'

I'd love to hear it if anyone has a copy :)

In the words of the Iceman himself...

"It's a new musical adventure for me," says Ice enthusiastically. "I just got bored with drum machines and wanted something more exciting and challenging." Now, armed with a live band, Ice and noted producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Sepultura, Limp Bizkit) spent hours in the studio, discovering and evolving a stunning "hardcore hip hop" blend of street sounds. "I was looking for a really hard edge," Ice explains. "Something completely different, off key, something that's not been done. It took a while to find it, but the good news is, we finally did. It's not rock n' roll. It's not heavy metal. It's not hip hop. It's called 'skate rock' and only a handful of people are doing it. There's only a few musicians who even know what you're talking about ? 'what? I don't know anything about tuning my guitar like THAT.'

Shay plays on the fade, slice like a ninja
Cut like a razor blade so fast, Other DJs say, "damn"
If my rhyme was a drug, I'd sell it by the gram

pure ... summin ...

and lets not forget the classic parting line

Yo man -- Let's get out of here! Word to your mother!

we shall never see his like again

Rockman lovers driving Lamborghinis
Jealous 'cause I'm out geting mine
Shay with a gauge and Vanilla with a nine
Ready for the chumps on the wall
The chumps acting ill because they're so full of eight balls
Gunshots ranged out like a bell
I grabbed my nine -- All I heard were shells
Falling on the concrete real fast
Jumped in my car, slammed on the gas
Bumper to bumper the avenue's packed
I'm trying to get away before the jackers jack
Police on the scene, You know what I mean
They passed me up, confronted all the dope fiends
If there was a problem, You, I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Proper Bo- gets into a gunfight with car-jackers!!!!!
Iceman, new material please :)

Do you actually post on SuicideGirls JC2? :D

If I find out more about this TV show I'll post it, coz I'm on a mission here ...

Peace Out Mofo's ;)

my housemate at uni wallpapered her entire room with vanilla ice pics. it was an obsession. the only other girls i've known with a similar 'thing' were my best mate in 3rd year at school who had this massive thing about edward furlong; and my best mate in 2nd year who swore on her life that she'd still be in love with chesney hawkes when she was 18. she wasn't tho :D

the rock remix of ice ice baby is actully allright.

and the bloke could rap(he supported public eneemy!!!!!)

but the bloke is going to struggle to get any credibility ever after letting himself be the recored companies bitch for ages.

the thing is, if yuo listen to 'ice ice baby' it's got a great beat. the only thing that prevents it being good is vanilla ice himself, a man who never let lack of talent get in the way of ambition.

Sucker MC's - I scare 'em
Girlies - I gotta love 'em
Rhymes - comin' out of my ears
the competition - in tears
Slick dance moves - by the dozens
Battles - please step up 'cause I love 'em
Settin' up suckers like pins on a bowling ball
And you're gonna fall
You won't hit, it's a bottomless pit
Of rhymes, comin' straight from the mind
Of a genius, and I can't be modest
When I make a threat, you bet I keep it
Like a promise, so
Shake like a leaf when you see me comin'
Frankly, you're better off runnin', fast
And don't look back, wack

I've actually seen 'Cool As Ice' his movie debut :)
Unfortunately the critics couldn't handle his lyrical cool...

I knew this movie was a keeper 15 minutes in, as we were privy to what certainly is the greatest moment in cinematic history. Ice is riding his cycle down a road while some girls rides a horse aside the fence...and this is where Ice does the unthinkable. Ice jumps the fence on his motorcycle, causing the poor girl and her horse to fall down into the mud. What's better - this all happens in slow motion.
Turns out the girl's name is Kathy, and she'll be Ice's love interest for the rest of the movie. They don't appear to be a perfect match, as Kathy's dressed in virginal white linen, while Ice is dressed like an asshole.

Poor show- the movie is a cinematic classic

i know. i was being witty. now i have to post this in order to avoid looking like a prat.

i've ehard that too... i didn't realise that was really korn and vanilla ice, i just rhought it was some peolpe pissing about... kinell,l i can't type today... and damn special it is too. possibly the worst thing i've ever downloaded, including the time i downloaded something desigated nofx live that turned out to be barnyard grimness....

but i think your dates are wrong.... according to my sources hard to swallow came out in 98, which would mean that if korn were on it they certainly weren't a prototype version, as they were two albums into their career in 1996.

old vanilla made a career as a pro moto-x rider under his real name bret van winkle..

he was fukin good as well.

i'm not calling you a liar or anything - like i said, i was unfortunate enough to download a copy of that and i agree that it sounds like korn... i was only being a geek and pulling you up on the implication that this was an early korn project and not something they did once their metal cred was established but before their artistic well ran so dry bob geldof nearly held a fundraiser for them. but it's not rick rubin, it's the other double r fella, ross robinson. a man who was very nearly the steve albini of metal but blew it all by just doing too much cheesy mainstream metal shit. still, mid 90s, pretty much anything interesting being done with heavy guitars was something to do with him.

seems we're both wrong and i might have been wrong about the korn connection too

Personnel: Rob Van Winkle (a.k.a. Vanilla Ice), Casey Chaos (vocals); Sonny (guitar); Scott Borland (keyboards, bass); Doug Ardito (bass); Shannon Larkin (drums); DJ Swamp (scratches); Cyco, Zero, Jimmy Pop, Rod J (background vocals).
Recorded at Indigo Ranch Studios, Malibu, California.

In what is without a doubt the strangest comeback of 1998, Vanilla Ice returns with HARD TO SWALLOW. Never exactly one of pop's most subtle personalities, Ice again chooses a musical style which allows for plenty of bombast, utilizing the thick, guitar-heavy sound of thrash as a backdrop for his rapping skills. A true musical chameleon, Ice creates a sound that fits his message perfectly, much as his initial use of the dance/rap format once served his sonic needs in an unlikely, but undeniably successful way.

Vanilla Ice doesn't do things half-heartedly. As a rapper, he walked the walk, and as the leader of a rock band, he jumps in headfirst. From the opening strains of "Living," he and the band come on strong, laying down an impossibly thick sound reminiscent of Korn , with catchy, repetitive grooves on par with Rage against The Machine. The Iceman doesn't deny what put him on the map (for better or for worse), and he revives the ghost of his famous "Ice Ice Baby" more than once, through several lyrical references. Displaying a rarely seen introspective side with the very genuine rage of "Scars."

I remember watching 'Behind The Music' on VH1 about him, hes been doing emo/extreme stuff for a while and being a pro motor cyclist IIRC. the program showed that he started of with good intent and some sort of credibility but his management just made him more and more like MC Hammer who was massive at the time to cash in, then dumped him. You ended up empathising with him at the end of it.

Aren't you thinking of the Ice-era as when he had the dreads and every song about dope? One of the songs had a comedy video of him and his homies around a fire drinking bottles out of paper bags (gin'n'juice no doubt)

It was very west coast - no rawk in sight on that track.

Oh no wait ....i'm thinking of "Roll 'em up" and "Mind Blowing" :D

no you poney faced shoe loving show tune singing cheese monkey i'm not

perhaps you should read not 3 posts above gwan scroll up read that means follwing the words and making the word noises in your head to make them translate from pictorial representations to thought processes and on to synaptic links which fire the nerons into thinking and recognition, finally illumination...

The first segment of VH1's "Remaking Vanilla Ice" was shot at the Gathering of the Juggalos on 7/18, and the second segment will shoot at various sites in FL. Upcoming filming cities will be listed on the Tour Dates page with limited information, so as not to alter the surprise elements in the "Remaking of Vanilla Ice".
I hope he'll be rapping in his true style- making them glc bitches quake as he lays down some proper rhymes :p

Download his top tunes here !!!!!

Well Vanilla Ice is better than the one on the right.... The guy on left is cute and shaggable. The guy on the right needs to have a shave and general clean up. And he needs to get rid of this "Son of God, Holier than Thou" mentality.

i like some of his new rocky stuff.

hes a fukin good motocross rider too and is rated highly over there in the states..

he got screwed, knew he would, almost killed him..

saw a docu on vh-1 on him,...sounds like a sound bloke.
