The ever-popular annual leftover rice thread

I reckon I'm probably immune to the effects. I reheated stir-frys for years - adding new ingredients to yesterday's - left in the wok at any time of year ..

I'm pretty safe these days because I use microwave rice which is specially heat treated to destroy any spores.
 
I had a moving tribute made to commemorate Billy Bob, who died doing the thing he loved: having a cavalier attitude to his tea :(

Guess this would be the thread to mention that urban75 has made me so wary of leftover rice that I felt obliged to wrap some especially old and moldy rice up in plastic before throwing it out today so the raccoons wouldn't eat it and get sick...
 
I don't know about Greek tragedy but here I still am, haunting the Urban75 feast like Banquo's restless shade, reheated rice dripping from my ghostly hands...
