It was really sad to see that the last remaining seafront buildings of the once magnificent West Pier have now been swept away, and with work stalling on its ghastly 'vertical replacement' the i360, Brighton's had to make do with a ferris wheel for the past couple of years.
The dreadfully-named i360 was supposed to be ready for opening this year, but that date has now been put back to 2015 - and I wouldn't take any bets on that happening either.
