Looks like that wiki page above hasn’t been updated for this year yet.

Further flooding predicted for Pakistan.

Today Southern Pakistan is braced for more flooding as a surge of water flows down the Indus river.
Record monsoon rains and melting glaciers in northern mountains is expected to create a flow of some 600,000 cubic feet per second.

I heard it on the 6:00 news on R4 too but I can’t find a better source than this Mirror story.

Yes
Total nightmare.

The government says 33 million people, or 15% of the 220 million population, have been affected.

Almost half a million people have been displaced and are being looked after in camps.

“*More than three million children are in need of humanitarian assistance and at increased risk of waterborne diseases, drowning and malnutrition due to the most severe flooding in Pakistan’s recent history,” the U.N. children’s agency warned.

The World Health Organization said that more than 6.4 million people were in dire need of humanitarian aid.

The anti-immigration schitck in the right wing press across Europe is deadly and desperately needs countering. So many people are (going to be) forced to migrate.

yeh. but what needs to happen even more is swift and effective action on the climate so this sort of catastrophic flood and the heatwave which preceded it doesn't become even more frequent. what the rw press says is deadly but nowhere near as deadly as the climate disaster unfolding before our eyes
