I visited this charming town on the weekend to watch Peckham lose again, and it really was a nice place to walk around. Can definitely recommend for a day out!

Sadly, the nearby steam railway wasn't in operation but I'll post some photos of the station later.

A beautiful town, about the prettiest in the area IMO .... I vaguely considered moving there once but it doesn't have a mainline train station for miles IIRC

My dad lives nearby. I quite like its charm.

Need to find a hotel or a pub with rooms either there or nearby to stay for a wedding in July actually

Curiously, my mind immediately turns to the Three Chimneys at Biddenden. Gloriously old charming pub or at least it was. I see it has rooms Elpenor. 10 minutes away from tenterden.

Like a lot of these places you need to stay for more than one night over a weekend.

We had to get a 25 minute bus ride from Headcorn.

The steam railway will eventually connect up to Robertsbridge main line but that's only going to run for tourists.

Even by car it feels kind of cut off by south east england standards - definitely has a magic to it as a result that area

Wrapping up my Tenterden coverage, here's some pics of the splendid station and lovely Old Dairy taproom next door, I definitely fancy visiting again, preferably when the trains are running!

Last weekend, I was in Kent taking pictures of Tenterden town, watching my football team lose again and taking a quick look around the rather wonderful headquarters of the Kent & East Sussex Railway. Conveniently located a short stroll from the station is the equally wonderful Old Dairy Taproom...
