Support FAL, one of the largest anarchist archives in the world
Fundacion Anselmo Lorenzo (FAL) are calling its most ambitious crowdfunding campaign yet in order to complete our curatorial work on all materials from after 1939.
Our archive holds, among many other elements, documents, posters, photographs, footage and audio recordings from the Spanish Civil War and Revolution, the decades of exile at the end of that conflict and the so-called Transition, once Franco died . It’s a huge collection of 6,000 posters, more than 5,000 regular publications, spanning from the end of the 19th century to the present day, together with a media archive and a specialised library with tens of thousands of items. It truly is a treasure that makes FAL one of the largest anarchist archives in the world.
But we don’t merely concern ourselves with the history of the anarchist movement. Through publications, events and conferences, FAL plays an essential role in the promotion of our ideas and in building up a libertarian future.
Here’s where your support is needed, because none of this would be possible without it. True to our anarchist ethos, we do not accept any state funds or grants. We rely instead on resources provided by the union CNT and on voluntary donations. That’s why we’re asking for your collaboration, to help carry our project, your project, forward.
Finally, note that raffles, sweepstakes, gifts or investment returns are not offered in exchange for donations made to our GoFundMe.
Thank you very much for your support. Together, we’re building this bridge between our rich heritage and a bright future that is FAL.
