Song identification - pretty please

I thought this song identification problem was a thing of the past - you listen to the lyrics, go home and type it into Google and... but no...

I heard a song the other day - quite pleasant, quite familiar from a long time ago - I can imagine it being on a 1970s compilation LP with "If You're Ready (Come Go With Me)" by The Staple Singers and "Harvest for the World" by the Isley Brothers, maybe a bit more disco-ey than that

I thought the lyrics were

"If your love's contagious... Something something something"

Googling brings up Tarrus Riley or Taja Sevelle - definitely not them, so maybe I have misheard the word "contagious". Not a lot to go on, I know..

Any other clues about what the lyric might be?

Sorry - the tune was familiar but it was playing quite quietly (downstairs in Neros on St Martins Lane in that London, if anyone wants to go and check :D) - I could just make out the words in the chorus "If your love's contagious" and thought - well that will be easy to identify - 1970s, very early 1980s, I'll look that up when I get home. But no.

Thanks - it wasn't as disco-ey as those first two.

I'm thinking that "contagious" must have been "can save us" or something else, so I'm sunk really, unless I hear it again. It was familiar.

The best way to describe the sound - I can imagine it on a compilation LP with these

Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free (1976)

The Staple Singers - If You're Ready (Come Go with Me) (1973)

The Isley Brothers - Harvest For The World (1976)
