Snowboarding in Alps next week

Anyone been up there tis time of year? Never been before, whats the chance of a good bit of snow or whatever?

No, but it was awful last year.

Heard its really good this time around though.

I was in Haute Savoie, near Chamonix, for Christmas. Managed to get one days skiing done, in between visiting family and stuff. The conditions were pretty good, lot's of pistes on the Grand Massif were open and had very good coverage - it's been snowing almost all of December and was a massive improvement on the same time last year.

Where are you heading for?

There was plenty in Chamonix/Courmayeur and Pila last week. Snowing heavily when I left on Friday too. Even some snow as far south as Milan.
