A woman I know will dissolve a gram of coke in water and put it in a nasal meds bottle. She then squirts people’s luggage in the queue for check in. She says it gives the dogs something to do and they never go for her.

A ham sandwich is enough to confuse some of the dogs tbf.. it certainly saved my arse that one time at smuggling camp.

By plane is different from overland though. Overland you can have a whole team as a cheap outfit. By plane it's cheaper and (imo) safer to go solo as lose lips sink ships etc.. when a border guard's casually got a gun on you it's easy to panic.

My old next door neighbour, she was about 90. Her son was a real red flag fugitive, always setting up meth labs or cooking home bake heroin. In and out of jail, this time I took her over to visit him inside, and this particular jail has one of those pods you step through, which 'sniffs' you for really low amounts of drug particles. She stepped in and the alarm went off and she wasn't allowed in. Now I know she didn't have anything on her, she was just a good mum doing her duty. But anyway it upset & embarrassed her so much that she never went to visit him again. Apparently some medications can cause a false positive for those detectors

Never knew about that tech. Scary.
These days I get stopped a lot and swabbed for drugs. I’m so thin I think they assume I am an old school coke fiend who can’t be away from his stash.

I have had airport security pick up hash from my bag, sniff it and put it back in my bag at Heathrow. They don't care, it is customs when entering the UK that are after it and they don't really give a fuck about a bit of percy. Coming back from Amsterdam Frau Bahn and I always carry 3/4oz each in our pockets, hash as weed's too smelly. More than 3/4oz they have to take you to court, less and they can do an on the spot fine, so we consider it our duty free allowance. Never been caught though, but the reason to have it in your pocket is that if stopped you can claim you were stoned and forgot it was there, if you've stashed it away then it is clearly a deliberate attempt. Deliberate stashing is what I did when taking drugs to places where they are hard to get, such as Philippines, only 1/4 weed, 4 acids and a g of ket, but still gave me a bit of a feeling passing under the massive "Death to Drug Smugglers" sign at the entrance to the customs hall at Manila airport...

A mate who lives in Singapore accidently forgot about a small wrap in his pocket when returning back to sg. Properly shit him up when he found it later as sg has a serious sense of humour failure about chems.

I did the same except it was only Spain and unintentionally made it a great holiday. My one deliberate time was before the days of body scanners. I had a load of pills sellotaped round my knob. I must have been a shit smuggler because its probably the time I got the most attention from security. They weren't about to do a strip search for someone leaving the country though so all was fine.

Smoking the weed and having fun. Was only later that we found out that the Greeks send you down for a minimum of two years for a blim, mandatory

I got hand searched at Schipol flying out. I had some hash wrapped in my used keks and a deliberately dirty towel. Fake brown stains. All the time shes telling me if I had anything (i must have stunk of weed after 3 days of doing nowt else), i would be in alot of trouble. Gone on then love, go through my dirty laundry. Nah, it was alright and I was able to take a gift back.

I've smuggled a fair amount of drugs internationally and it's the bloody dogs that have always scared me.

Likewise. Mostly to other EU countries. Which i wouldn't do now. Fucking brexit!

Dogs and heavies are standard on the Denmark to Sweden trains in the journeys I have done n the past few years. Too many tourists coming back from christiana I spose.

I think I went on three holidays to Greece in the 90s with weed and pills. Skiathos, Lesbos and Thassos. You get to Thassos by flying to the mainland, a place called Kavalla. Nobody told me that at that time (not sure if it is now) Kavalla was a military airport - as in run by the military. Guns and dogs everywhere, all over the luggage getting off the plane.

I could only stand and watch as the dogs went mental jumping over luggage. Nothing happened.

Took ecstasy, saw fireflies, got a wonderful picture of the harbour at sunset (Thassos has a hill to climb) which sits on my wall to this day.
