Saturday 9th July 2022 3-5 pm, Marchmont Community Centre, 62 Marchmont Street, London

RMT workers are in the middle of a national dispute that is being seen as an important reference point to all public sector workers. NHS workers have received pay cut after pay cut, but will the tide now turn?

Join us for the launch of the new book, 'Sick of it all! Work, inquiry and struggle in the NHS', where we will discuss the current state of the healthcare system (with actual NHS workers!) and the real issues we will have to deal with in order to win an actual pay rise. We will also be speaking to Jonathan Neale, author of 'Memoirs of a Callous Picket', about the nurses' strike in 1982. What, if anything, can we learn from past and more recent NHS disputes?

My cousin is a nurse. She says she's going to vote to strike when given the chance. Not sure she'd be interested in a book though.
