Siadwel is Peppa Pig!!

Am off work this week and spending some time bonding with ickle27, which involves doing lots of what he wants to do, which is usually watching Peppa Pig dvds.

So I'm watching with him this morning and I notice the name of John Sparkes come up in the credits. Surely it can't be the same John Sparkes that was Siadwel, and a host of other characters from Absolutely, Alexei Sayle, and more recentlt Barry Welch. But then John Sparkes is not exactly a common name.

So I tap his name into imdb and it appears that Siadwel is the king of kiddies' tv. He is the voiceover on Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam and Ben & Holly, and did Shaun the Sheep. I'll look at him in an entirely different light now.

yeah.

This is almost as bizarre as discovering years ago that Ray Skelton who did dalek voices also did the voices for George and Zippy in Rainbow.

Yeah I think he was. A classic creation, I have a vague recollection of him recanting a story about someone being sick in the hood of his anorak ro something!
