Loads of police and police tape around the Station Road market and talk that the helicopter was there for a "machete attack."

It was a stabbing

A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight near Brixton Tube station.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was stabbed in a fight on Brixton Station Road at around 2.40pm on Saturday (June 5).

The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene, alongside London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London's Air Ambulance.

Police officers and paramedics found a man suffering stab injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
