This from Kingsdale Secondary School, don't know any further details. Makes my fucking blood boil.

Dear Parents, Guardians, Carers

You may be aware of reports in the local and national media regarding a number of serious incidents which have taken place in South East London recently involving an unidentified male suspect and school age children. These incidents have taken place while students have been travelling to and from school, with the victims being female students.

Latest advice from the Police is for students to be extra vigilant when travelling during this period. In particular, they advise that students do not take any short-cuts or ‘cut-throughs’ and where possible walk with friends. Students should also aim to get home as quickly as possible, especially as the autumn nights draw in.

A number of the victims describe the suspect as a white male, aged 40-50 years old, with short white or blond hair. This is one line of enquiry detectives are exploring.

Parents are also requested to advise their children that should they see or experience anything that disturbs them during their travels, they should call 999 in an emergency situation, or if not an emergency, report their concerns to a member of school staff or a parent as soon as possible.

Whilst it is not our intention to cause panic or distress amongst our student body, we do feel it is important that students and parents are made aware of the situation. We will be continuing to advise our students in school of how to stay safe when travelling to and from school and will advise parents of any further developments as soon as possible.

Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact your child's Head of Learning.

Kind regards

yes, lots of kids take cuts though the parks to get the Kingers, as it is no straightforward to get to by train etc. Some may slag the school off by bringing this issue up, but it is good that this has been sent out
