Robbie Savage

I've really warmed to the lad.

I had the video from ITV.com and the radio on in the background - he's had me in hysterics. :D

As I said on the match thread, he's the most entertaining thing about the World Cup. He's like a one man fanzone!

that was an amusing commentary. he started off taking the piss out of his co-commentator after the goal and just got better from there

loon :D

I liked his comment about being a hypocrite for giving the Italians a hard time for diving and understanding "why he was the most hated footballer in English football".

One of the opening games he gave his match fee to charity because the game was so terrible and that, "I feel bad for being paid money to watch it".

LOLZ

I've almost* always liked Savage. Mind you, he's a Wrexham lad. See him out in town from time to time, usually wearing snakeskin boots or jeans with tassles.

*Except when he was at Crewe. I thought he was a cunt then.

Point is he's always been this way. He's a decent bloke.

That he is. He was the first pro footballer to donate cash to Wrexham Supporters' Trust, back when we were fighting to stop that cunt Hamilton putting us out of business so he could flog oooor land. Considering the amount of crap he got off Wrexham fans when he was playing for Screwe, it was a very noble gesture.

He is first class. The only worthy commntator at this cup.

The ability to take the piss outta yaself is priceless.

Having met him and had experience of him my opinions are divided. Robby Savage off the field=Cunt, Robbie Savage on the field=aboslute legend and would have him at city in a flash!

I've always found him alright when I've met him. Cob as fuck, full of himself, but funny with it and happy enough to have the piss taken out of him. Bit prone to showing off about his wealth though. I'd describe him as a lovable dickhead tbh.

I heard one where he said similar and the commentator suggested he double it and donate them £40. :D

having thought this through a bit more, surely he should feel bad for being paid to watch good games, because that's not work  Or at least, I don't see why that's any better/worse than watching bad games.

Still a nice gesture of course, just, y'know, thinking about it too much

you're as bad as alan green.:D

I'm sure I read something in one of the (ahem) 'quality' papers a while ago about Savage giving loads of dosh to charity but not making a big fuss of it.

Read something similar IIRC ( probabaly on U75!)

Even that wanker/genuis/gobshite Bellamy does an awful lot for charity - esp in Africa - hes spent a 400 grand setting up a school / football foundation in Sierra leone
