RIP James Earl Jones

Took my son to his first Star Wars film when he was three. He became a big fan and collected all the toys. We also found out you could send off to America for toys you couldn’t get here. When he was about thirteen I was having a clear out I asked if he still wanted the toys. He said no as he got into commuters in a big way. I gave them all to a charity shop. A few years later someone brought in Star Wars toys to the Antique Roadshow. Son said, mum, why did you give my Star Wars toys away? 🤷‍♂️

Star Wars kind of went out of fashion for a while until they started making new ones. I remember my son saying “I’m too old for them” Now it’s my fault. A few years ago found Princess Leia buried in the back garden. My daughter said she buried her but couldn’t remember why. It was part of a game with her brother. When my son was about five he asked me not to call him by his name but to call him Luke. That went on for a few months.

Memories 😎
