Recommend a Linux video tutorial series, please.

Could someone recommend a Linux for total beginners video tutorial series that pronounces "Linux" correctly, please? I've looked at some on YouTube but for some reason they all say "Linnux" which is really annoying. Is it an American pronunciation?

He's wrong! (take one bit of sand and insert head)

If it was "Linnux" it would be spelt that but it isn't so he's wrong.

Winer - winner
Siner - sinner
Thiner - thinner
Diner - dinner
Liner - linner
Miner - minner
Zimer - zimmer

You see where I'm going with this? Ok, some of those words don't exist but in each column they rhyme with all the other words in that column. Spot what makes the difference.

It's called linux (pronounced linnux) because the person who wrote the kernel is Linus Torvalds (pronounced Linnus).

Edit to say I hadn't spotted stethoscope 's post

Doesn't everyone? Just look at a map of the World and look at all the places that are pronounced the English way or have English names. France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, etc. None of those places are natively called by their English names.

Not point using Linux if you're finding the pronunciation difficult.

Something easily pronounceable like BSD should suit you fine. Very user friendly too. :)
