[real life] Serial killer films

Someone on some other thread a while back recommended Tony.

It's about a socially inept man who just wants to have a friend. Cue tagging along with junkies ("I'd like to try some of that smack. Would you like some beans on toast?"), visiting brothels ("You been busy?"), accidentally picking up men in gay bars ("I've got some Paul Young tapes somewhere...How about orange squash? I've got fishfingers..."), talking at cross purposes with TV licence inspectors ("Have I got any cable?!"), etc.

I think you can guess the rest. Peter Ferdinando is excellent in the title role. Dalston looks admirably grotty. Avoids most of the clichés.

I'd kill (no pun intended) to see the The Atlanta Child Murders mini-series from 1985 again, that scared the hell out of me when I saw it in the 80s. Great cast too, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Martin Sheen (also Jason Robards, Rip Torn, Bill Paxton)
Alas no DVD, torrent or youtube clip seems to exist of it.

I finally tracked down a copy of this. :) I've put it on YouTube to share seeing as how it's pretty impossible to find. 3 parts about 4 hrs in total but well worth your time (VHS quality).

One found on Netflix: The Frozen Ground, about serial killer Robert Hansen and the Alaskan investigator hunting him down. Not great, but workmanlike. Be warned: May Contain Nicolas Cage & John Cusack Past Their Sell-By Dates

I'm looking forward to seeing London Road about the 2006 Ipswich killings. Five Daughters was OK but this one has a very strong cast. The Frozen Ground wasn't stylishly innovating and the acting wasn't going to win awards but it told the story pretty factually which is what I prefer from these types of film.
