Protester beaten up at Manchester Chinese consulate

Demo in Manchester this afternoon was fucking big:

I gather there's also ones happening in London and a variety of other places. People took masking up very seriously, which I suppose makes sense when you're going up against the CCP. Can't say I loved all the symbolism on display, but good on them for not being intimidated, and they had some huge displays of the offending image of Jinping, which feels like exactly the right reaction. And a few people had versions of the latest update of the LGBTQ flag with "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times" messaging on.

May I be among the first to congratulate Xi Jinping on being "elected" General Secretary of the Party and Chairman of the Central Committee for a completely unprecedented third term?

Such astonishing popularity!

(There is no position of "President" in the Chinese constitution or the CCP Party rules; General Secretary or Chairman are his official titles, "President" is an artificial propaganda effort by the CCP to normalise/legitimatise the regime on the international stage)

All hail the election!

Long live Chairman and General Secretary Xi!

What could possibly go wrong under his command?

Rest well peeps.

But, for fuck sake, don't fall asleep.

Be woke.

And be nice to each other.

Do you have any info on London ones?

Do you have any info on London ones?
Can't find any articles, just tweets:

But if you'd like to keep an eye out for future ones, it looks like HK Aid UK would a good page to follow:

Hong Kongers in Britain say they're worried about their safety after the lukewarm response from authorities.

“I think it’s a blatant and brazen act that the Chinese consulate disdained the rule of law in the UK,” Cheng said. “We do feel the UK Foreign Office should immediately issue a stronger statement on the attack. Rather than that, they still keep saying we should wait until the police investigation.”

Steve Tsang, the director of the Soas China Institute at the University of London, said while it is legitimate for the government to call on Manchester police to establish and verify the facts, the slow process suggested a lack of commitment to expedite the process.

And meanwhile ...

This has been going on for, at least, six years.

First ... join the RAF and learn to fly a fighter jet. Then fly to exotic places, encounter interesting people and kill them.

Second ... get headhunted to go to an exotic place. They will pay you a salary of @ GBP 250,000 a year and (on top of that,) give you a big house to live in, house servants, a car and driver, education for your children (at the best International private schools,) and generous expenses to help things along - and big, big bonuses if you perform well.

Third ... All you have to do is (live under 24/7, 360 degree, professional, total-surveillance and constant, daily, subtle interrogation and influence by "friends" from expert security services and ... ) teach a few dozens of highly trained exotic people to fly fighter jets better than the RAF and other western countries pilots can, in order to kill them.

Simples right?

The UK Ministry of Defence says that, to it's knowledge, no confidentiality rules have been breached.

(Errrr. Okaaaay ... )

Phew! Thank goodness everything's okay then. I guess.

Brits can all sleep safely in their beds now.

Good night one and all.

Rest well(ish?) peeps.

(Edit: By the way ... does anyone know who Ben Wallace is? And does anybody know who has been the UK Defence Secretary for the last few years?)

Woof
MOD is officially upset about this all being arranged by a South African company. Though the RAF Last shot down a plane in 1982 and that was one of their own.
and dropping bombs when people can't shoot back is not exactly hard so not sure what the Chinese are getting for all that cash.

Probably exactly what you just told us, but with Powerpoint slides and handouts.
