You are calling him out for a fight?

As well as making assertions about his parental status?

Where have I called him out for a fight I just told him call it to my face. Any can hide behind words on forum I think he is rude Keeps talking about my son. About swearing. Then said that word which is wrong. So he in my words is a prick

The underlying meaning in the english language of the phrase “say that to my face” is that they will be afraid to do so because of some form of physical remonstration rather than hiding behind a screen where they cannot be reached.

Billericay have announced the signings of Aron Pollock from Concord and Malachi Napa from Wealdstone over the last couple of days. Definitely not mucking about.

They need to careful with spending money, Glenn Tamplin is readying his land rover to do donuts around new lodge’s pitch as we speak

Buying players at Step 7 is absolutely insane. There's plenty of good players knocking about at this stage of the season - 99% are out of contract anyway!

Fortunately, Billericay have decided to give everyone a chance by having McCann in charge for at least some of the season, so there is small comfort.

Lewes must be knocking a fair bit about as well - they tied Joe Taylor (scored 30 goals last season) down pretty much immediately and I can't imagine he'd have been short of financially attractive offers in the NLS.

Certainly feels like some clubs are getting a bit carried away, particularly those getting starry eyed over a new manager with a bit of a track record. Going to be plenty of squads shedding players over the course of the year when they don't achieve whatever mad targets they've set to pay for it all.

And it's not just at Step 3 - Ramsgate paid a fee for Joe Ellul from Sittingbourne, after they'd signed him to a two year deal a couple of weeks before, all of which is madness.

What’s the issue with Fatty McCann?

Goes further than the Isthmian South as well. Faversham Town (recently relegated from that league) who will play in the Southern Counties East Football League next season just bought Warren Mfula from Chatham Town for an undisclosed club record transfer fee.

There's plenty of money sloshing about for some.

I took in their last game of the season, a 4-0 win v Three Bridges. The ground is getting work done to it, theres investment in the wider infrastructure too with academies and community work. I hope it all works out and we get to play them again, they're a nice club and a wicked away day

Billericay paying a fee to bring in Moses Emmanuel, after signing Dan Wilks and Matt Johnson.
He must have been on a multi-year contract at Hayes if he wasn't a free agent. Chelmsford have just signed Mo Bettamer on a season long loan from Hayes. I'm not sure what's happening there. They lost the Southern Premier South play-off final at home to Farnborough last year but failed to make the top 5 this time. It looks like they may have thrown a lot of money at winning that division and now it's run out. Of course Emmanuel was also at Billericay during the Tamplin era.

Mfula was actually with Sheppey this season, not Chatham. He threw a bizarre public strop over Sheppey selling him, saying he no longer even acknowledges having played for them!

I'm not sure whether there's generally more money sloshing around, or it's just the usual shakedown of senior players dropping to play for top clubs a level lower. A lot of these players mentioned are well into their thirties. Let's not forget, we also announced the signings of 4 higher league players on one day last weekend!

Whilst I'm interested to hear of other clubs' recruitment, the main focus for me is on who we bring in. Last time we were new to this division was 10 years ago, when we entered from the other direction and took the division by storm with an almost unchanged squad, spending most of the season in the top three before falling away to miss the play-offs by a single point in the end. That set the standard, as we expected to challenge strongly for promotion after that, and contested the play-offs in every subsequent season until we went up in 2018.

At this stage, I find it difficult to gauge our chances without knowing exactly what our squad will look like and how it comes together on the pitch. We need to concentrate on our own performance first, before worrying about what anyone else might do. Bishop's Stortford were champions this year with 88 points. The previous season they finished 2nd with 87 points but missed out in the play-offs. When we were Isthmian League South Division champions we had 89 points, one ahead of runners-up Maidstone. Therefore I'd say the benchmark for winning the league is around 88-90 points. If we don't get near that, it's inevitable someone else will, whether it's Billericay or one of the dark horses having an exceptional season.

With Hayes I would surmise that with no more episodes of Ted Lasso their available budget will be drastically reduced

I've been posting updates of everyone else's squad in our division on the Hamlet Ins and Outs thread, although it's probably more appropriate here, with our own first friendly fast approaching and a few more Hamlet announcements likely in the next few days.

Updates since last weekend are in red. Horsham and Wingate & Finchley have made their first announcements, entirely retained from last season in the latter case and all but two in the former. Whitehawk have the largest confirmed squad with 21 announced so far. Carshalton announced a few other retained players not listed but only used their nicknames, so I'm none the wiser as to their actual names. (Their social media bod seems more interested in retweeting party political propaganda from the local Tory MP than giving out clear and accurate information on their team.)

I'm no longer familiar with this division after 5 years away but Billericay have recruited three regulars from last year's champions Bishop's Stortford, as well as some other impressive names, while Cray and Hornchurch both seem to have added well to squads that finished 5th and 2nd respectively last season. Those look like the strongest other squads n paper t me. I'll be interested to see how Hastings fare under Paul Barnes, who seems to have made some decent signings of his own choice.
