A moment's thought should reveal to you why this tale is utter and absolute nonsense.

For one thing, why would Churchill and his minions tolerated it for even a millisecond? They'd have had Bomber Command over Dublin quicker than you could say Jack Robinson, to use your pithy English idiom.

Now there's a movie pitch - Churchill's Minions! Have your people call my people, yadda Yadda yadda.

The British would not have bombed Ireland for fear of turning it into a platform for a German invasion.

During the war it was certainly possible for individuals to travel between Ireland and Britain and presumably much more difficult but not illegal or impossible for Irish people, as citizens of a neutral state; to travel between Ireland and Germany. I don't see how either Churchill or his minions could have monitored or controlled the movements citizens of neutral countries going about their own business.

There were daily flights between Shannon and Lisbon during the war so people could get to the continent and after the fall of France travelling to Germany or German occupied territories overland would have been possible.
