This thread is for interesting photos of where you’ve been in Scotland. You don’t have to live here & photos can be of anywhere you’ve found interesting. It doesn’t have to be tourist stuff. I’ll start us off with a few: in order

Part Two:

Gagarin Way, Lumphinnans, Fife- Sunset at Balmoor, Peterhead- some old shield thing in St.Andrew’s, forgot the story- Limekilns, Fife- wind turbines at Balmedie- River Forth at Stirling- Wallace Monument detail- unicorn flag on Newmarket Street, Ayr- leaving Ardrossan behind on way to Arran- Machrie standing stones, Arran.

I get around a fair bit for work & football. I prefer smaller places somehow, places I couldn’t really live in but like to visit for their oddities. Gagarin Way is a brammer- a Fife Communist councillor ensuring that the cosmonaut’s achievements were commemorated.

Banff I love. Very run down but the beach is spectacular and there’s the “Spotty Bag Shop” (if you know, you know).

I like being surprised too- I had a great ice cream at a traditional Italian ice cream place on the way to the Arran ferry and the town seemed decent despite everyone’s slating it as a hole.

I’m interested to see what other people post.

I took this close to the border at a lay-by off the A1, just south of Bearmouth, on the way back from a day trip - only my second time going to Scotland.

Initially I stopped to look at the sky then realised the lonely setting of the farm, gazing out into the North Sea was quite cool so thought worthy of a picture. The overhead cables of the ECML are visible just about too.

From where I get fish fresh off the boat. I don't always know what I'm going to get, it always depends on the catch. Often it's so fresh it's still flapping.

Isle of Seil? When my mate got his first car when we were teens we drove up there, sleeping in car. There's the pub where the drovers changed into trousers during the kilt ban. Then windscreen shattered in a freak snowstorm crossing Rannoch Moor.

Don’t know, but Bill Drummond of the KLF is from Newton Stewart. My band played a gig there one time, too. The power supply was dodgy and fried my amp.

Are they still functional?

They were kicked-out of their traditional/long standing meeting place, along with the small group of Orangemen who used it on other nights when it changed hands around the Pandemic. Not heard if they found another venue yet and their previous attempt to relocate to a community hall got a resounding FU from the locals.

There is still no great shortage of lower-grade racist/RW types going about though.
