Phone broke, need to order a new one today, pls help me decide

I want a new phone but don't need one as my old Samsung works ok but can't do selfies on it as some Lidl stuffed vine leaves spilt in my bag and fucked up the other camera. The rest works fine but not happy with front facing camera anyway. Any ideas for a phone that has a great camera but under three hundred quid?

My phone is here and charging. Good job there was another iphone cable in the house, because the one that came with the phone has an ending that doesn't fit into a normal USB. Dumb.

Is it Apple to USB C? I've noticed more and more things are USB C. Our tablets, our phones... of course, we have a plethora of now nearly redundant micro USB cables.

That would be a USB-C like Sass says.

Actually a lot better than the old USB plugs, but lots of people don’t have them to hand yet.

We've had them since last September, they are good.

Apparently, can't use them for Google Pay which would be a massive pain...

If you take the broken phone with you, you could probs get it fixed much cheaper abroad. Then sell it or have a spare.
