Anyone else got this on the PS3 and fancy a game online sometime?

I love it, and the Online play does work really well IMO :).
 
Really, I liked the FIFA 09 demo, but what I've heard is that PES 2009 is a slow burner that takes time to adjust to. I've got PES 2009 after seriously considering buying a FIFA game for the 1st time ever, but too busy playing Fable 2 to play it.

I was a PES fan from back in the ISS days on the SNES right up until PES2008 (the game that launched a thousand extra FIFA sales) and FIFA is now the king. Me and my mates always favoured Pro Evo for it's realism and how it rewarded patience rather than giving arcadey one dimensional 8 goal thrillers all the time like the old FIFA games but now it's turnt full circle and FIFA is the realistic game that makes you work for your goals through patient and intelligent build up whilst Pro Evo is now an arcade mess where you bomb down the pitch taking a winger like Ronaldo or Messi past everyone.
 
New PES is still not using a new game engine from the older versions, and FIFA has overtaken it.

Seriously, I've been a PES fan since ISS, about 1998/99, but the last couple of versions of FIFA have pissed all over it.
 
reading review it does indeed seem fifa is king.

I am not happy. konomi need to pull thier fingers out.

This is crazy, it's just always been a known fact that PES is the standard for proper footie games and FIFA was a two pass score bit 'o fun...crazy they've switched places...:hmm:
 
i'm a pro evo lad too...and found myself getting fifa 09 on my 360.

fucking mint. if i fuck up my dissertation i'll know why. not been able to put it down yet :D
 
The Legends modes very addictive, i'm 17 called Vaghinio & i've just become a 1st team regular with PSG, 2nd top scorer in Europe....living the dream :p
 
I've been playing ISS since the n64, always gone for the PES whenever buying a football game.

This year I went with FIFA and it's fucking great, at least twice as good as PES 2008. They have really got the feel of it right. It actually plays like PES from around 2002/2003
 
Have to agree with all the above. Been into pro-evo since it was ISS pro.

This year's Fifa is miles better. Fifa is genuinely brilliant, though. Pro is pants in any context.
 
flirter wouldn't be able to breach my defence!

I'm remarkably good defensively. Its only my shooting that lets me down.

I only asked because it seems a little easy to run through defences rather than play it down the wing or string some passes together.

what are you on about you muppet, PES has been shite since 2008 whilst FIFA has turnt it's shit around.

I suspect this shall be rather like you and the SWP and your just two years behind everyone else.
