Passport Photo - App or otherwise

Wanting to edit a photo to make it UK passport-worthy (brighten it up, remove shadow etc

Something easy, and ideally free. Thank you for any help. t.

Have you not got an app on your phone ?

Spring the tenner or so and get it done in a shop complete with the code. Then if there's any problem you should have some come back with the shop.

For reference my passport renewal for a passport that was two years out of date, application done on line total turnaround time was 13 days to having my new passport IN MY HANDS

If you can retake the photo to get it as compliant as possible that's usually a better bet than trying to fix it with software. Edit it too much and it risks being rejected.
