Went to a fun little party upstairs at the Old Nuns Head in Nunhead a few weeks back - they had decks set up in there - the rooms a little dated but it was fun
Ah, OK. And there's the added complication of it often being booked for their theatre productions I guess ...its an empty room with wooden floor boards and a little bar at the back - just feels a bit empty somehow...
Are you prefering something on the BS -> Victoria line eg Brixton or Herne Hill?Clapham isn't that easy to get to from Bromley.
Also just checked the Cafe Cairo website and you can only book it out from Mon-Weds.

theiyer bee draggonsClapham High St is just a couple of stops on the Overground from Peckham Rye (on that Thameslink line).
I guess that is fairly easy (and it's the way I went to get to the B&R when we met there), but I think it would put a number of my Bromley mates off.Clapham High St is just a couple of stops on the Overground from Peckham Rye (on that Thameslink line).
its a nice spot - ive been there for their comedy club. nicely decoratedI guess that is fairly easy (and it's the way I went to get to the B&R when we met there), but I think it would put a number of my Bromley mates off.
My favourite venue at the moment is the room above the East Dulwich Tavern, but they are not answering their phone. I have sent them an email, but have no idea how long it will take for them to get back to me.
that sounds lovely how much was the hire do you remember? The cafe on Peckham Rye is rentable and will do food and drink. They have a late licence if needed. I have done a couple of parties there - you need to sort your own sounds out but if the weather is good, it's a fantastic venue at night
not a new experience for me had to stop for a little rest under a tree there a couple of times back in the daywandering pissed across athe rye at 3AM on a summer morning is worth the expense
Too right it's not cheap! £150 per hour.May not be cheap though......
Which High St?A mate used to be able to hire the basement of a bar/restaurant at the top of the High St, opposite the cinema? Reasonable enough it was for music/dancing...
Anyone know about the Crow's Nest in Crystal Palace?
The Prince Regent charges, but you get a great space and a good bar.
