In the car on the way home just now:

Sunspot Jonz - Back in Black

On the CD player now:

Tim Armstrong - A Poet's Life

:)

I got Donna Summer's Bad Girls double LP from charity shop a while back but didn't play all the way through till now. It's amazing! I might skip the weepy side, but it has a great glamrock track at the end. The synth stuff is very enjoyably plastic. Moroder disco mixed with Chic style disco ++classic.

Also:

Wighnomy Brothers - Bodyrock EP. The first 12" single I ever bought.
BRING BACK SCHAFFEL!

edit: Does anyone know what is the best T-Rex LP? Or the best ratio of stompin stuff to whimsy.

I'm hiding in the server room with an ipod and speakers...

So far, it's been:

Screaming Trees - Dust
None More Black - This is Satire

:)

ella fitzgerald - ella swings gently with nelson (amazing stuff...)
queen - a kind of magic
queen - the game
v/a - don ost (fantastic funky bollywood stuff)

thanks to the "new" bands thread

autokat on myspace

The Strange Death of Liberal England
fuck is 'A day and another day and the day before' is powerful
just been an ball of emotianal angst in tears - yet it's so uplifting by the end

Yep, big grins all round here. Even my musical naif housemate is tapping his foot.

For a one man band, the Haze certainly could knock out a tune!

Chuck Berry - "Anthology"
NCW - "A Consequence Of Ultimate Carnal Voracity" (mix recommended upthread)
Amon Tobin - "Chaos Theory" (this is excellent, apparently it's a video game soundtrack)
Prince And The Revolution - "Parade"
Ping Pong Bitches - "Alphadog"

I think they were on Creation then in its later days. This album is from this year and I picked up a promo copy for £2 a few months ago. I quite like it.
