It cropped up on the celrbrity death pool thread.

Very sad news. Didnt really watch Homicide but he was brilliant in Brooklyn 99. So deadpan but so funny. Every episode now will be tinged with sadness.

RIP Captain Dad.

Really, really sad about this. He was such a fine actor and Frank Pembleton was an amazing character.

In fact "Homicide" was one of the best TV series ever with a brilliant ensemble cast but he was just wonderful.

RIP Andre, you'll be missed

Homicide was a love letter to Baltimore. You can see the genesis of The Wire in there and some great writers and directors... plus the cameos!!! Robin Williams, Bruno Kirby, John Waters.
