Neo-nazi terror plot foiled by France/Ukraine

There doesn't seem as much coverage of this in the news as I would expect. I saw the Sky News item and they barely mentioned the fact that it was a right-wing rather than jihadist plot. Maybe Nazi's are not as frightening as Islamists these days though.

So what are the wider implications of this re the Ukraine situation? If it turns out that he was supplied by Right Sector types fighting in the east, what might this mean for the future? Are attacks like this likely to be attempted again, or is this just one of those 'lone wolf' scenarios?

A FRENCHMAN arrested in Ukraine with 125kg of TNT and an assortment of weapons was plotting an attack on the Euro 2016 tournament, it has been revealed.


The would-be attacker was arrested on the Ukraine-Poland border on May 21 with an arsenal of weapons in his car, including rocket launchers, grenades and AK47s.

it does seem to be quite common for lone nuts - and i include the US versions - to massively overestimate the number of rifles they can use at any one time.

tbh if there were loads of different sorts of weapon - say an sks, ak47, heckler & koch, uzi - then yeh gun nut loon. but what sort of lone nut loon buys multiple ak47s?

depends - he may well have thought he'd be able to recruit fellow loons once he'd got the gear. doesn't mean he would have been able to, or that he would have let the idea slide if he hadn't been able to recruit.

certainly its an unpleasant possibility that our loon has loon friends who've given him the cash to go to Ukraine to tool up and bring it back, but the French should work that out pretty quickly once they start going through his computer/phone etc...

personally i think the Euros have 'attack me!' written in letters that can be seen from the moon by every loon group/loner west of the Euphrates, so i am in no way ruling out that our loon is part of a wider plot, mearly that its just as possible that he's not.

Yeh that's about it. It seems like he was completely under surveillance from start to finish anyway so I'm sure if more people were involved then it will become apparent.

In the top picture, the robocop on the right has his right hand on the perp's neck, while at the same time supporting perp's chin with his left hand. Is this some sort of special grip intended to immobilise the perp without risking asphyxiation?

pretty much, its a bit like tickling a fish - it just physically and mentally immobilises you and makes you very eager to conply with whatever request the person doing it feels like putting forward.

i learnt this while being knelt on, which i considered very rude, by what i thought would be a 19 stone monster doing a passable impression of a partially shaved Gorilla. it turned out to be 9.5 stone streak of piss who wuld fall over if he sneezed. it was most illuminating, not a little embarrassing, and very painful.
