Need a good text on the military consequences of the Franco-Prussian war

Does anybody know of a decent book on the Franco-Prussian war that covers the military stuff well? Would be much appreciated if somebody could reccomend one.
 
I'm just reading AJP Taylor's 'Struggle for Mastery in Europe', which is 1848-1918, but he's usually better on diplomatic an political implications than military...

Didn't Engels do something on this - contrasting the new technology in rifles with the American Civil that was only four or five years earlier?

At least it wouild be 'contemporary'!

If you want the conflict placed in larger context, there might be a few useful pages in Kennedy's the Rise & Fall of Great Powers: wouldn't swear by it though, & my copy is currently in deep storage.
