Musicians - what do you expect to be supplied in a rehearsal room?

I'd say amps were unnecessary - might be nice, I guess, but I know I wouldn't want to practise with a different amp to what I'm used to especially if it's a Bogner or Dumble or summat and then not be able to have it when I played a gig, which I expect is what people practise towards.
I think out of all the gigs we've played (which is easily in 3 figures I reckon) we've only brought our own amp 5 times.

Vocal monitor in a rehearsal room are a big plus IME. Makes a real difference to able to hear what you are singing nice and clear and not having to fight a constant battle with feedback as you try and get the vocal levels loud enough.

Aye, it's been a long time since I played a gig at all let alone regularly - I'd forgotten that tbh, I was only remembering pub gigs or gigs my old band had arranged where either we were the only ones playing or else others were relying on our amps.

I DO remember practising with a drum kit that was just bust hi-hat/snare/kick drum/bust cymbal and being utterly confused by a full kit at a gig :D

Fans, yeah, that's a good idea, the heat in a rehearsal room with 4 or 5 of you jumping about and loads of electrical gear can be fierce

if you have the monitors set up so you can hear yourself then where are the main speakers pointing tho?! I mean usually it'd be the audience but obv there's no audience in a rehearsal.

Speakers are facing you - but you can still stuggle to hear the vocals clearly without getting feedback problems. Rehearsal rooms with vocal monitors make things much easier.

But only vocals are going through the PA right? so adding monitors just means you have vocals coming out of 4 speakers instead of 2, I dont really see it makes much odds...just more complication to set up.

Two guitar amps, a bass amp, four mics with leads and stands, drum kit less breakables, mixer with a dozen channels (for e.g. keys), PA speakers, loads of leads. I'd want to be able to record to a laptop straight out of the mixer.

Fridge, air con, tea/coffee facilities and somewhere under cover to smoke outside, would be nice.

I wouldn't expect monitors.

It does make a big difference if your singing - cos the speaker is much closer to you. So - its much easier to hear the singing. I much prefer rehearsal rooms with a vocal monitor.
