Moving a banana plant

I've got a dwarf Cavendish banana plat that we have grown, in a pot, from our original one. It's doing well in a South facing window with full sun. It's 124cm tall and growing well.

I need to move it. How do I get it into the car and take it 6 hours drive away without killing it, or damaging it?

You could buy it a matching sleeping bag - the padding in it might offer some protection.

The boot will be full of other things so Mrs D will have to go on the roof, there's no alternative.
