Who has started then? I found some last night in Aldi. I was going to resist for a bit longer, but thought it would be fun to take them to work to have with our morning coffee and see what my Romanian collogue thought of them (he likes them).

Not bad for 79p, even if it's still October.

We got some as a substitution in the groceries early last month ...

I didn't like them much, as they were polluted with brandy.

Looking forward to baking some myself in a few weeks.
Those will not last very long, I can tell you !

Spotted some in the wild for the first time last night. Not bought any yet but I still have a jar of mincemeat left over from a few years ago so might make some next week.

On my 3rd box, Asda Extra Special ones seem the best so far.

I bloody love mince pies, I made a giant mince and apple pie one year, we scoffed it hot with a variety of custard and brandy cream - bloody delicious.

Another vote for year round availability, a mince pie is not just for Xmas.

If I find good jars of mince I will buy some for use at other times of the year.
