there's an amusing story about a sub editor who was leaving his paper to travel round the world or something like that a few years ago. think it was somewhere in the midlands. anyway, when readers picked up the paper the day after he'd left they found the phrase 'max boyce is a cunt' randomly added throughout several stories. dunno why he chose that particular phrase, maybe they had an interview with him in it.
personally, i find boyce's humour piss poor. remember doing one of the summer schools at the uni of glamorgan a few years back when he came in to do a talk and seemed fairly decent and genuine though.
