Man United - the team that gets me excited? 2024-2026

Casemiro was Real Madrid's defensive midfielder as they won multiple titles and Champions Leagues. Chelsea cruised to a comfortable home win with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall last night.

we have Maguie and De Light while they had Tosin Adarabioyo. nobody is telling me that guy is some world beater all of a sudden.

the players are good enough to not be getting hammered by Brighton and Bournemouth at home.

I think you're imagining that big money marquee names are always so much better than solid pros. Tosin was unfortunate to be down the pecking order of central defenders when at Man City and after some solid loan deals he was much loved at Fulham who somehow let hi run down his contract and join Chelsea for free. That was a canny deal for Chelsea.

I know they're not but we're talking about players who have done it at the highest level - so it's not a matter of opinions.

anyway, my basic point is the players are not as shit as these performances and results would suggest. so manager needs to up his game, whether it's tactically/formations or (probably more likely with the older pros) in terms of motivation.

Suspect it's been a surprise to the manager how shit they are. But ultimately he must be trying to build something different. Hopefully Rsdcliffe is on side with that because it's going to be a few games into next season before he has the players he wants playing the right way.

I think that all has to play out. Hopefully there will be enough progress in the cups to avoid the calls for yet another manager.

Blah blah blah yes. It’s just a bit boring how all the non-United fans who come on this thread only to post negative stuff never do the same on their own teams threads when there is plenty of cause to do so.

Manchester United have reinstated the season ticket of a dementia-suffering fan of 45 years' standing who saw his ticket cancelled following five games without scanned entry.

The story of the Manchester United fan in question, who has not been named, went viral on social media on Sunday night (19 January 2025), gaining more than one million views.

The last guy won the cup. Admittedly that did stop them sacking him for a few more games.

two cups... nice to remind Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs etc fans who still can't actually win anything despite all the noise about how well they're doing over recent years.
