Luke 'the Nuke' Littler - 16yo darts prodigy

See back in the day you might just channel flick - watch the odd game and then get in to it.. I have fleeting memories of watching Eric Bristow, Jocky Wilson, John Lowe and Bobby George by this method.. Not because I'm a massive darts fan. I'm not. But for a few weeks I could get into it.

Even more annoying as it's all going on just up the road from me.

Guardian had an article yesterday that Littler will now dominate darts championships for years and years and this isn't a good thing for darts.

i've played a bit, am crap and don't really follow darts so I'm confident in saying that anything like a 9-dart finish has to involve huge amount of luck. :)

I'm not convinced Littler can do a 'Phil Taylor' for the next 10-15 years. (They said the same thing about MVG when he burst onto the scene.)

There's too much strength in depth at the top end of darts these days. Players like Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith - to name just 3 - will be looking to knock Littler off his perch.

Just wait till Luke is able to legally drink, his hit rate will plummet when he has a pint in one hand and his darts in the other :)

A hell of a lot of top darts players play whilst drunk. (If you don't believe me, watch some of their post-match interviews.)

If anything, Littler might get better when he's legally allowed to play half-cut. ;)
