A big challenge for the Hamlet on paper against opponents who were 3 divisions above us last season, although that gap has now been reduced to just one step.

The match is a 2pm kick off, contrary to some listings, which gave the default time of 1pm for all ties in this round at the time of the draw. Admission prices are £13 adults, £9 concessions and juniors free.

Lewes is a great day out if you've never been, and the ground is literally just around the corner from the station. There's a direct hourly train service from Victoria via Clapham Junction and East Croydon. I'll be travelling from London Bridge, changing at Wivelsfield, and on that route there's a significant saving to be had by splitting the tickets at Wivelsfield, although I think it's only valid for Thameslink services on the London Bridge to Wivelsfield leg.

Just a heads up, it shouldn’t impact many but anyone who needs to travel on the tube, services are likely to come to an end at 5pm on Sunday with the week of various tube strikes starting that day.

Amongst other things, this must be by some distance the most expensively priced fixture that Dulwich Hamlet Women have played in.

(I say that as an observation, not a moan. It's quite impressive that the demand is high enough for Lewes to justify having ticket prices the same for both men's and women's teams)

Are people going straight to the Dripping Pan? Or stopping for refreshment in Lewes?

Fireworks after, yeah?
The Brewers Arms at 12 is the general meeting point, and quite a lot of people are getting the 10:46 from Victoria (also calling at Clapham Junction and East Croydon) if you wanted to join the convoy.

Lost 6-5 on kicks from the penalty mark, after a 1-1 draw. We were incredibly unlucky to lose after taking the lead with a brilliant 25 yard chip from Phoebe Leitch. It wasn't even a mistake that cost us the equaliser, just an unlucky slip underfoot that let them in for a simple conversion. Our team played and defended superbly throughout.
