Keith Richards takes over BBC4 for the weekend

It's all rather unpleasant.

I know. Watching the scene you depict above, I always wonder what sort of skankiness immediately preceded the switching on of the camera.

Brilliant social and political history right now, all combined with Siouxsie, X-Ray Spex etc soundtrack. Thanks again for this.

may not be as good as other hitchcock films, but as a Black and white British film it stands out a lot compared to other b&w british films, dont you reckon?
I think Hitchcock got loads better when he went to the us. See his two versions of The man who knew too much. Us remake is better in every regard imo.

But I'm biased a bit. 1930s British cinema has few highlights. Comparing it to what was happening in late 20s and early 30s Germany was there anything comparable?

That racist cunt Clapton is on it so they won't be getting my dollar. This will be the first stones album I'll never own

I was a bit taken aback when i learnt that clapton had ranted on stage rascist stuff. I thought being a hippy and being around in the 60s would of made for a broader mind.

saying that, one good thing came of that and that was the fact that it kickstarted the whole "rock against rascism" movement.

I've been on my own in the office today so, in between working of course, I've been flipping through parts of it on the iPlayer.
I do love Keith so I'm biased to be favourable but I've really enjoyed it, like the way it's been put together and love all the old bits and pieces of programmes :)
