Judging movies by their covers

I get my movies from a torrent site that posts the front covers of new releases, and I exclude loads from my download choices purely on that basis

Last week was a good example: nothing but man, gun, vehicle = 2/10 avoid.

Do you have any criteria for movie-judging on this basis?

You'd have to go and read the premises to do that. The advantage of cover-judging is that there's no need to.

Characters demonstratively brandishing guns is usually a turn off for me. That beard on Banderas looks like Velcro.
