In (W) London Sat night - Recomendations? Soho?

Kaka Tim

Half Arsed and Slapdash till I Die
City break with Mrs Kak - staying in air b&b in West Ealing. Seeing a show in the afternoon and thought we'd wonder round Soho in the evening - recomendations for bars, cafes kind of thing. Live music (not jazz) would be good. Or maybe cabaret - (probably not the non-stop erotic kind though). Cheer in Advance :)

Soho is, of course, noted for its jazz clubs. (If you like that sort of thing, Ronnie Scott's is still a great night out.)

Not sure what else there is. Soho theatre is a good shout.

I tend to avoid Soho on a Saturday night. It will be heaving with people. There is good food there, though, depending on what you like and what your budget is. From curry to posh French. If you like French food and have a budget, L'Escargot is a lovely place to be in and has lovely food.

Pub-wise, they're all much of a muchness, truth be told. Coach and Horses is well known cos Jeffrey Barnard, but it's small and not so impressive imo. There are a few smaller old school pubs. They're all overpriced and will all be full.

Sorry, that sounded really negative. I think I'm jaded.
