Now stand in Q to tell me to fuck off...

I'm sorry it seems if your a Tory supporter on here that's treatment you get.

I used to support New Labour. However I like David Cameron I like the direction he is taking the party in. A sort of original New Labour, yet a micron more to the left.

I can understand why you would be pissed off with New Labour. I can't understand why you would think the Tories are the solution.

In what sense has Cameron taken the tories to the left? which tory policies do you believe are to the left of New Labours?

I can fully understand why you wouldnt want to vote for the government, but the idea some are spouting around here recently that they are supporting the tories as a left alternative to labour is delusional imho.

I wasn't aware they actually had an environmental policy other than pimping photos of Dave's turbine (didn't he have to take it down in the end?)

David Cameron has said he will do his up most to reduce the effects of climate change and implement policies to that effect.

All New Labours new PM seem's to care about is his image (or there lack of).

To me the Environment is one of the most important policies of a party. Yes I know I should vote Green, but lets face they will never get in. I know with that attitude I contradict myself because they lose a vote. Realistically I'd have to vote for the party that spouts the stuff I wanna hear.

If they don't implement it? Well you vote them out again. Then I become anti-tory.

For now however, I am pro-tory. For now!

That is really nice, but it means absolutely FA until he explains how he intends to do it (ie what the policy is :))

...well at least that is honest, even though I think you are wrong... ;)

My problem is with some posters who claim left wing credentials & yet vote tory... but justify it as not reeely being tory because it's about personalities, & who they hate......

At least there is still enough shame in being a tory that they have to hide it.

;)

Not sure I could bring myself to vote Tory at a General Election. Voting Tory to remove the scumbag Livingstone is one thing but I'm not sure I really want to see Prime Minister David Cameron.

I've too many bad memories of the Tories in the 80's to think they should be in Govt.

However, I can't also bring myself to vote New Labour either. Looks like its Lib Dem then. :(

Don't make me laugh; you voted for Boris Johnson and you say this with a straight face?:D

Yeah why not? Its one thing to vote Tory in a local or regional election and quite another thing to vote Tory in a national one.

Its a case of 'how far do I trust them?' I trust them enough (just) to run London but when it comes to the national stage bad memories of the 80's kick in.

You have neither morals nor scruples. As for principles, that is an alien word in your vocabulary.

I think whoever gets in had better be able to deal with the mob, we're entering a new politic and pandering won't work.

Do do fuck off with your holier than thou bollocks.

You seem to live in a politico-academic bubble with fuck all knowledge of the politics of the real world.

Get back to the sixth form common room with you :D

Where is that pot calling the kettle black image that people use?

I would like to see the Tories win but I'd be stunned if they do.
like the poor Urbanite who put 400 quid on Ken to win ?

They're all in the top RH corner of the compass now.

Do fuck off with your regurgitated Daily Mail tosh. Do you seriously expect anyone to believe you when you say that you're positioned on the left? You're a fucking joke, a fucking bad joke with a poor line in comebacks. You clearly don't live in the real world, otherwise you wouldn't have voted for Johnson.

Presumably his line about "piccaninnies with watermelon smiles" was nothing more than some words "taken out of context"? And what of his comments about civil partnerships? And you have the fucking cheek to claim Ken was a closet homophobe.

You're a hypocrite.

This is exemplary of a hatred of learning; attack your opponent's perceived erudition. It's pretty weak as a putdown.

politico-academic bubble

It's meaningless but you probably thought that it sounded impressive. :D

<Nino's bollocks snipped>

Maybe you could use your massive intellect not for slagging off others but for working out why a left of centre personality lost without blaming the Standard, The Daily Mail, The Tories, etc etc.

Ken lost by his own hand. Get fucking used to it.

You'd be more use figuring out how to listen to voters and make the ordinary bod feel more part of politics.

Instead you continue to wank off over KL who has proved to be a big turn off with the voters without asking why he was a big turn off and how to improve things.

I have never seen such a pile of unmitigated bullshit in all my life. You clearly do read and digest the Rothermere papers but don't have the honesty or to the decency to admit that. You make a cheap jibe about "intellect" is that because you find anything that resembles intellect scary?

As for your first paragraph, you might want to look a little closer to home. All the things that you've said about KL have all come from those papers; you have merely regurgitated them. That means that you're incapable of independent thought.

Oh and please don't tell me that you're a "left-winger" because that is, quite clearly, the biggest, steaming pile of horseshit that I've ever heard.

Horseshit is a lot more useful that the fetid bile that you seem to purvey on here.

:D
