You make the posts, other posters respond. See many supporting your position? How many of 'you' are in there?
Is Aunt Peg in there with you?
Thought not.

I see your debating style is still as poor as always when you are losing an arguement.
You lostthe arguement re climate years ago, you just won't admit defeat. If you didn't realize we were arguing, then why bother to reply? Unless, of course, I touched a nerve.I didn't realize we were having an argument. What I'm doing, is amusing myself until my wife is ready for us to go get the groceries.

I see that you didn't bother to try and counter my claims about your Libertarian outlook and it's implications...
Which one event in a (yet) another record year of extreme weather events. The frequency of extreme weather events is a property of climate. You can't close down a discussion just because you are losing. This thread is about hurricane Irene.
Is that really your best defense? That I'm an Engineer and not an English Major...Learn proper punctuation.

Where? Citation? I take it you aren't talking about the American Midwest, and certainly not global temperatures.[pointless pic snipped to shorten post - Mikemcc]

I suppose there were some unusual events. This is the first summer in a long time where the max daily temperature didn't reach 30 celsius. People here are talking about the 'non summer'.

If you are going to start making claims, then you had better back them up.
That caused flooding in New York and killed more people than Hurricane Andrew (as previously posted), caused the greatest power loss in Long Island (http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/205...ssau-suffolk-great-neck-long-beach-damage.htm)You're the one claiming that a Cat 1 hurricane downgraded to a tropical storm is an 'extreme weather event'.

Tropical storms still cause lots of damage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_Storm_Allison
Hurricanes shouldn't be thought of as a big tornado. Wind is only one of the dangers - the primary danger is flooding - the same as with tropical storms. It's a matter of how much rain gets dumped and if that rain can drain to the sea. The flooding can happen a couple days after the storm as gone.
It is an extreme weather event.I've never said that it didn't cause damage and take lives.
It is an extreme weather event.
I think it's hard to use it as proof of global warming, if that's what you're going for.
