back on the other side
I've been watching a few more from that channel too....tasty geeza tv....
Ray Bishop is a really good one, clearly a very intelligent man ..impressive that someone with his endless crime sheet and long jail time has turned out so well...lots of great insights from him
Kevin Lane...oh dear.. amongst his many attempts to make money he used to run the bouncer team at the Hippodrome and Astoria....I worked the cloakrooms of the Hippodrome one winter when he was at his peak (mid 90s), those bouncers were the nastiest people I've ever run into, built like gorillas pack animals looking for blood. Anyway Kevin reckons he was stitched up....somehow I don't think he was as innocent as all that....yes there's corrupt police and informers and something was up there but I dont think his story adds up that neatly.
Talking of police, undercover Peter Bleksley is quite fun, a few tall tales in there I think but he's got that Mike Reid, early 80s patter about him that makes it a fun enough watch
Toby Gray....a real insight into an extreme case of a certain type of more modern person, coked, steroided and instagramed up to the eyeballs, a good example of where that can get you and what the world looks like to someone like that. Quite self-reflective overall about who he is and what he does
Brandon Bloc + Danny Gould one got a bit tiresome ....28g of coke a day though....jesus.... is that what it takes to make those shit tunes they play sound good? Seriously though, thats scary
Common factor in almost every one of these I've watched is over the top cocaine use. It really is a blight on this country and the world. IIRC only Kevin Lane said he doesn't use it as it turns people into "cunts", but he's on one naturally it seems
They're great interviews, Dodge doesnt get involved with his opinions or thoughts, just asks open questions and people are amazingly honest with him and I come away from each one thankful for the person being interviewed for telling their story and trying to be open about themselves.
